The event took place on June 4, with the partnership and support of the European University Institute, the European Parliament, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Participants discussed:

  • Political threats associated with the spread of Russian disinformation;
  • Propaganda of anti-liberal values;
  • Practical ways to counter Russia's disinformation narratives;
  • Ukraine's international role in the fight against disinformation and propaganda.

The analytical team of BRAND UKRAINE also shared their experience conducting research in the Middle East and North Africa region.

"We conceived the Nations Against Disinformation initiative as a platform for exchanging ideas and practical experiences in an international format. I firmly believe that Ukraine, in this discussion, is not just an object or victim of information operations but primarily an expert country in countering disinformation. Even in the darkest times, we can and must communicate from a position of the advantages and benefits we can bring not only to ourselves but to the rest of the world," shared Marina Dadinova, Deputy Head and Program Director of BRAND UKRAINE.

Nations Against Disinformation is a project aimed at raising awareness about disinformation as one of the key global threats to humanity, to prevent its further intensification and spread. Its global mission is to unite the efforts of different countries for better exchange of strategies and practices for combating disinformation.
